Philosophy Statement
In order to empower change and success, we strive for excellence in providing quality, individualized substance use treatment services in the residential setting to clients while engaging families in education and healing as well. These services are provided with integrity while using a collaborative approach in the best interest of our clients.
Program Description Re-group provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, and support services for clients, providing hope and empowering change to restore healthy relationships and encourage success for all clients. Re-group staff members will provide evidence-based practices in the areas of screening, assessment, substance use therapies, family support, peer support, and case management. In recognizing that treatment must be client-centered and involve the family and support systems in treatment decision-making, Re-group utilizes a variety of evidenced-based interventions to build an individualized treatment program tailored to the unique client and family needs. The program uses a trauma-informed and collaborative approach, combining family, community supports, and other providers to stabilize the clients’ ongoing recovery.

Re-group believes that every person and their family deserve support in reaching their goals.

Re-group offers the following outpatient services as part of the comprehensive programming:

 
  • Screening services to identify potential presence and severity of substance use issues for determination of ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) level of care. RE will also screen for and treat mental health as a co-occurring issue within the Residential SUD program.
  • Assessment services to provide diagnostic clarification and ensure the most effective treatment strategies and interventions are being utilized.
  • Psychological Testing services to assess a range of mental abilities and attributes, including achievement and ability, personality, and neurological functioning.
  • Crisis Intervention services through verbal de-escalation, risk assessment, and/or therapy by a behavioral health professional and may include referral to more intensive services by an outside source if deemed necessary.
  • Individual Therapy services provided by licensed clinicians who are trained in one or more evidenced-based modalities.
  • Group Therapy services provided by licensed clinicians who are trained in one or more evidenced-based modalities.
  • Family Therapy services provided by licensed clinicians who are trained in one or more evidenced-based modalities.
  • Medication Management and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services to provide an individualized recovery plan with a full range of psychotropic and controlled substances prescribed by our in-house Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Case Management services provided by bachelor’s level professionals offering assistance to the client in gaining access to needed medical, social, educational, and other services.
  • Peer Support services provided by Kentucky certified peer support specialists to promote socialization, recovery, self-advocacy, preservation and enhancement of living skills for the client through use of relevant personal stories and lived experience.
  • Adult Support Aid (ASA) services available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing a safe and secure environment. The ASA assists in the emotional, social, moral, and physical recovery of clients through reinforcement of the skills learned in the daily therapeutic setting.
  • Medical Care services provided through Advanced Primary Care. For any specialized medical needs, transportation will be provided to attend appointments.
  • Transportation services provided to assist clients in accessing scheduled appointments with outside providers, court hearings, resources, or other needed services.
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) services are provided by licensed clinicians and certified peer support specialists who are trained in the MATRIX Model. The Matrix Model is a structured treatment experience that includes at least 9 hours of group, family, and individual components per week to assist clients in gaining knowledge and skills to achieve abstinence and maintain sobriety. Components of the Matrix Model include Early Recovery Skills Group, Relapse Prevention Skills Groups, Social Support Groups, Family Education Groups, and Individual and Family sessions
  • Partial Hospitalization (PH) services for those with substance use disorders are provided by licensed clinicians and certified peer supports. PH treatment is based on The Relapse Prevention Program. This program is a structured but flexible treatment experience that includes at least 20 hours of group and individual service components each week to assist clients in identifying high-risk situations, learn appropriate responses and coping skills, and identify lifestyle choices that may increase vulnerability.
  • Adult Peer Support services promote socialization, recovery, self-advocacy, preservation, and enhancement of community living skills for clients through the use of relevant personal stories and lived experience.  Adult Peer Support services are provided by a Certified Kentucky Adult Peer Support Specialist in group and individual settings.

Re-group utilizes evidenced-based interventions to build an individualized treatment program tailored to the client.

Residential Programming

Residential Programming

All programming is individualized based on the specific needs of each client in their path toward recovery.

Treatment approaches available include:

  • Living In Balance – an evidenced-based program delivered in a group setting with a focus on relapse prevention and derived from the cognitive, behavioral, and experiential treatment approaches. The program contains three curricula that cover development of a solid foundation of skills and education, recovery management, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Living Skills – an evidenced-based curriculum delivered in a group or individual setting that focus on personal growth and practical guidance in the application of healthy, daily living skills. There are 12 topics that include Making Decisions, Interpersonal Skills, Hygiene and Self-Care, and Looking for Work.
  • Twelve Step Facilitation Program – an evidenced-based, peer-led approach delivered in a group setting that enhances recovery success, especially when combined with other effective treatment modalities. A Co-Occurring Program is also available if needed.
  • SMART (Self-Management and Recovery Training) Recovery – a recovery group based on scientific methods rather than on spirituality. Groups focus on four points of recovery: Building Motivation, Coping with Urges, Problem Solving, and Lifestyle Balance.
  • Nurturing Parenting for Substance Using Adults – an evidenced-based, trauma-informed program delivered in a group or individual setting that teaches clients positive and nurturing parenting skills to use with their children.
  • Beyond Trauma: A Healing Journey for Women – an evidenced-based program delivered in a group setting to assist women through healing from past trauma using cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and expressive arts.
  • Anger Management for Substance Use Disorder Clients – A Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Approach – an evidenced-based curriculum developed by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) that addresses specific issues those in active addiction or recovery may face in resolving anger management.
  • Family Recovery Basics – a program offering education for families that addresses many questions and concerns families face as their loved one works through the recovery process. The program assists in developing healthy responses and strategies for the family members.
  • Supported Employment – a program that utilizes the Individual Placement and Support model to assist clients in finding a field of interest and obtain employment.
  • Housing First – an evidenced-based approach to assist clients in developing skills to obtain housing following treatment.
  • AA and/or NA Closed Group Meetings
  • Re-group is collaborating with The Fletcher Group to provide wraparound educational and vocational programming including Skills U, Ashland Community and Technical College, and the Kentucky Career Center. Residents will have the opportunity to obtain their GED and begin work towards job certifications that can be continued when they return to their community.
  • All residents will participate in daily life skills activities including basic chores, budgeting, meal planning, and cooking all meals.

Hours of Operation: The SUD Residential program serves clients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Office hours are from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday, except on holidays. Appointments for assessment services may be scheduled after hours and on weekends to best meet the needs of the client. For situations requiring assistance after hours and on weekends, an on-call team will be available at 606.922.8522.
