Ramey-Estep Homes announces new Chief Executive Officer
RUSH, KY – On Tuesday, November 28thth Ramey-Estep Homes Board of Directors named Denny Locey as the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Locey has been Acting Executive Director since March 24, 2006. Board President, Brian Morrison said, “We are very pleased to have Denny Locey as our new CEO. Denny’s background in teaching and coaching combined with his business background make him a very effective leader for REH. His initial employment with REH as a direct-care worker and teacher has given him invaluable hands-on experience to lead the organization. The Board of Directors is confident that Denny and the REH team will continue to provide quality care to the youth entrusted to us.”
Denny is a life-long resident of the Ashland area and graduated from Russell High School in 1980 and he received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Morehead State University. He and wife Michelle have three boys, Zack, Tanner, and Eric. Michelle is the Diabetes Center Coordinator at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Denny has multiple years of volunteering with youth including coaching high school football for the last 10 years.
Denny has worked for REH since 1999 when he began as a part-time teacher and a part-time child care worker. He has served as an officer for the organization since 2001, and as the Chief Administrative Officer beginning in 2004. Ramey-Estep Homes is a residential facility in rural Rush, Kentucky situated on 216 acres. Daily it serves 174 youth from all over the state of Kentucky through DCBS and DJJ.
